Dear changemakers, here are the latest alpha statistics for you: 3,347 users have written 7,094 posts on Human Connection and have made an amazing 31,839(!) comments. The megaphone function was used 20,909 times to recommend your posts to others.
Since the last alpha statistic in mid-July a lot has happened – but unfortunately there are still more than 2,000 invitations with access codes to our alpha test version unnoticed in the mailboxes of donors. We want to encourage you to check your mailboxes, including your spam folders, and make sure to come on board and test-drive your nonprofit social, knowledge, and action network.
More and more people have realized how important a network like Human Connection is in this day and age. Unlike all other commercial social networks, Human Connection is designed to be serving people and the planet. By being non-profit and non-commercial we allow our attention to focus on what’s really needed these days – human connection.
Our attention is being hijacked by fake news, corporate media, and distracting ads. Our privacy is being violated online by commercial networks and global digital corporations that sell our data and user behavior analytics to third parties for a profit and to shape public opinion. You could say we live in an Orwellian state… As George Orwell said, „Big brother is watching you.”
We therefore thank everyone who donates selflessly – even if it is only 5 dollars per month – and who join the network right away as soon as they receive the access code. Because here’s the thing: Human Connection only works if we humans are actually joining and contributing. 😉
